About the role - We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and dedicated School Officer to join our school. The successful applicant will work closely with the classroom teacher supporting the education of students and assisting them to maximise their learning.
About you - The ideal candidate should possess:
- Independence and initiative, demonstrating a goal-oriented work ethic.
- Discretion and judgment are crucial, as is maintaining a professional appearance and competency with flexibility.
- A commitment to inclusive practices, effective teamwork, and continuous learning is essential, with a specific emphasis on the ability to work with students requiring assistance.
- Possession of relevant qualifications, responsibility for guidance, and strong communication skills are key.
- Alignment with the Colleges vision and mission, compliance with legislation, cultural awareness, and a commitment to promoting a positive school culture are also desirable traits.
To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:
- hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
- be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
- have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.
About the school - Sophia College is a Catholic secondary school located in the Lockyer Valley, approximately 80kms west of Brisbane. The College opened in January 2021 and continues to grow enrolling a new cohort of students each year.
