About the Role
The Classroom Support Assistant (Specialist Faculty Support) is a member of the Classroom Support team and assists the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning by working collaboratively with teaching staff to deliver educationally responsive, hands-on activities to support learning in science, food technology, indutstrial technology and agriculture.
They assist in the smooth running of the science faculty by purchasing, maintaining, and preparing equipment and materials. They are responsible for ensuring materials and chemicals are prepared and disposed of safely and may be required to provide support and advice to the broader school community within their training area.
Essential Criteria
- Hold a relevant Working with Children's Check and be willing to receive training in chemical handling and white card.
- An understanding of and commitment to the vision and mission of McAuley Catholic College Tumut.
- Able to work unsupervised as well as being part of a team.
- Show initiative and be entrepreneurial and flexible.
- Is energetic, punctual, and organised.
- Demonstrated attention to detail especially in relation to managing quality control.
- Relevant experience working with chemicals and workshops or willingness to be trained.
- Ability to maintain accurate records.
