The Role
A unique opportunity for dynamic, innovative educators to join our Malvern Campus School team for the remainder of the year. Using teaching strategies to improve student learning and wellbeing while designing and implementing teaching strategies that are responsive to the strengths and needs of students.
This is a full time opportunity available based at our Malvern Campus on a fixed term contract starting Term 3 until the end of 2024.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply knowledge of the content and teaching strategies to develop engaging learning outcomes
- Apply teaching strategies based on knowledge of students’ physical, social and intellectual development and characteristics to improve student learning
- Develop, select and use informal and formal, diagnostic, formative and summative assessment strategies to assess student learning
- Participate in learning to update knowledge and practice, targeted to professional needs and school priorities
- Apply co-ed teaching strategies and instructional coaching practices to develop engaging learning experiences
- Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours
Skills and Qualifications:
- Relevant experience as a generalist Classroom Teacher with sound understanding of the principles of teaching and learning in the primary years
- Experience with the IB PYP Program (advantageous)
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire children
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and professional development
- Seasoned time management and organisational skills
- Hold a current VIT registration
- Relevant teaching qualifications
