About Kanmantoo Copper Mine

The Kanmantoo Copper Mine is one of Australia’s best kept mining secrets. Hidden amongst the quaint country towns of the vibrant Adelaide Hills yet is only a short 40-minute drive to Adelaide and a 20-minute drive to one of SA’s fastest growing areas, Mount Barker. Previously operating an open-cut mine, Hillgrove has established itself as valuable member of the community through award winning consultation, progressive site revegetation and providing opportunities for local employment. Hillgrove Resources are now embarking on an exciting new chapter – we’ve gone underground!

The Role

With our business growing, our development expanding and the anticipation of our processing plant re-starting in late 2023, we are seeking new, dedicated cleaning staff to join our existing team. Based onsite at Kanmantoo Copper Mine, we are offering a part time opportunity with a flexible roster over 6 days from 6am to 9pm (multiple shifts).

As one of our valued cleaners you will conduct assigned site custodial tasks with a keen eye for detail while maintaining site environmental health and safety requirements. Tasks include:

•  Work across different site operational areas, predominantly inside, but sometimes outside.
• Conduct general cleaning duties of designated offices and open plan areas, kitchens, crib rooms, toilets, change/shower rooms etc.
• Deliver laundry services which encompasses sorting, washing, drying & distributing of PPE/uniform.
• Operate cleaning equipment including the requirement for manual handling.
• Other duties as required.

The Not Negotiables

Here’s what we need from you:

• Hold a full, clean SA drivers’ licence and the ability to drive a manual vehicle; you will need to drive a work vehicle while on-site.
• Willingness to participate in and pass a Pre-Employment Medical, which encompasses drug + alcohol testing; we have frequent random drug + alcohol on-site screening. 
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact well with an array of different people and personalities. 
• Being comfortable working in and around a male dominated work environment; we work with a great bunch of people!  
• Being motivated, able to work with conflicting priorities, and open to rolling your sleeves up and jumping in to help with new tasks where necessary – we all do (think one team!).
