We provide a range of services in Tax & Accounting, Self-Managed Superannuation, Risk Management, Succession Planning, Growth & Well Being, and Business Advisory.
THE ROLE
Due to sustained growth, we have an opportunity for a well organised, hardworking and experienced Client Liaison Officer to be part of our team in Canberra. You will be an integral part of the Client Services Team, being the first point of contact, ensuring a welcoming and professional impression for our clients at every interaction with Genfocus. You will report to the Business Manager and assist with all reception duties, as well as provide administrative support to our Professional Services Team, ensuring an exceptional level of service to our clients for all their Accounting and Business Advisory needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- General office coordination and reception duties including answering telephone enquiries, transferring calls and taking messages;
- Providing welcoming hospitality in greeting clients, coordinating meeting rooms, and maintaining a neat and professional office space;
- Assist with building management tasks, keeping the kitchen safe and presentable, loading/unloading dishwasher, ordering and stocking supplies;
- Assist with the coordination of events and meetings for both clients and the Genfocus team;
- Coordination of incoming and outgoing correspondence – paper, email, electronic;
- Coordination and preparation of client correspondence including collated tax work;
- Coordination and preparation of ad-hoc information for clients (eg correspondence from the ATO);
- Assisting with the setup and onboarding of new clients;
- Maintaining the client database;
- General filing of soft and hard copies of client documentation;
- Providing administrative support to the Directors, COO and broader team as required.

- An impeccable professional presentation, with strong communication skills;
- A willingness to learn and understand the critical and broad role of the Client Services Team;
- Aptitude for learning new IT systems;
- Proficient use of the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel and Word;
- Experience in a busy office environment in a client-facing role;
- Car and driver’s licence;
- Accounting or Professional Services industry experience a bonus, but not essential.
