They are currently seeking a professional and empathetic Client Service officer with Health background to join their team in Sydney CBD with the flexibility to work remotely from home a few days per week. This is an estimated 12-month temporary assignment, with a potential to extend.Reporting to the Manager, Medical Screening Services, you will be responsible for coordinating medical examinations for Dust Diseases Care (DDC) clients with various providers in an efficient and effective manner. Utilising analytical skills you will interpret medical information and provide quality consistent and relevant data to support the Medical Assessment Panel decisionsResponsibilities
- Coordinate medical examinations in a timely and effective manner, utilising screening providers and Lung screening services to meet the needs of our clients
- Case manage matter which may impact on the determination of clients medical condition
- Coordinate lung screen visits, liaising with local councils and business chambers to locate and secure the most suitable facilities for Lung Screen Services
- Prioritise workloads and workflow to ensure customers receive the right information
- Liaise with clients, their families, employers and medical service providers to obtain medical information and records in accordance with the privacy and freedom of information procedures
- Maintain up to date information to enable decisions for appropriate next steps
- Verify invoices for payment
- Assist the Lung Screen Clinic when required, meeting and greeting customers, directing them to information about the organisations services
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Professional, resilient and empathetic with a customer service delivery focus
- Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written
- Solid analytical, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- Superior organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office suite
- Health or Medical industry experience essential
- Ability to read and interpret medical terminology
- Previous experience working within a sensitive/complex environment
- Reliable remote internet access
- Fully COVID vaccinated or medically exempt
- Willingness to undergo a National Police Check
- Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
