An opportunity to utilize your international tax knowledge and combine with excellent client service skills. A role exists within a growing team with international presence.
As the Client Tax Operations Utility Analyst in the Tax Client Support team, you will be responsible for supporting clients in relation to their Tax Services. The role provides the opportunity to manage tax document capture as you assist clients with their Tax Services. You will join a small newly established team supporting multiple clients in the Australia and New Zealand region, working closely with APAC Tax Operations team, the rest of the Global Tax Operations team and other stakeholders.
Job responsibilities:
  • Delivery of the Tax Service to support Australia and New Zealand Securities Services Custody business
  • Primary point of contact for tax documentation receipt to support our client's tax servicing needs
  • Management of tax documentation and control including:
  • onward distribution to internal teams of documents to ensure the efficient set-up within internal systems
  • document capture and upload
  • Support on outstanding/expiring tax documentation including for
  • Relief at Source
  • Retrospective Reclaims
  • Capital Gains Tax
  • Financial Transaction Tax
  • Tax Regulatory Reporting
  • A point of contact with the local Tax Offices in Australia and New Zealand
  • Ensuring close collaboration with the Sub Custodian network and the internal Network Management Group
  • Continual review of operational tax processes to identify areas for enhancement
  • Identifying and escalating tax risks and participate in resolution
  • Assisting with report generation of tax document status
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • You must have working experience in financial sectors, accounting firms or other professional institutions
  • You will be able to give examples of your successful internal and external communication and problem-solving experience
  • You will be able to give examples of your risk awareness and operational control experience
  • You will be able to discuss your process improvement experience, where you clearly articulate ideas, concepts and procedural changes to clients
  • You must be self driven and able to work autonomously
  • You will have proven experience within an arena where accuracy is critical within strict deadlines
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Understanding of custodian business or have tax background
  • Effective data management skills and desire to understand tax documentation systems
