Position Summary
The position is within the Clinical Aesthetics faculty and requires clinical teaching and supervision requirements for the Bachelor of Applied Health Science (Clinical Aesthetics) program.
The primary role of the academic facilitator is to provide efficient and effective teaching and learning experiences for students via their delivery expertise.
Opportunity to work remotely from anywhere in Australia.
Tasks include:
- Regular facilitation of interactive sessions throughout the unit’s duration
- Content development where required
- Evaluating the progress of learners objectively and ensuring progress according to course requirements.
- Evaluating the effectiveness of teaching/learning materials to course and unit outlines.
- Maintaining quality standards in teaching/learning programs.
- Participating in and contributing to professional and curriculum development.
- Implementing and modelling high standards of work performance.
- Performing associated administrative tasks, including maintaining accurate records and providing timely and accurate reports related to educational programs and services.
- Attending and participating in staff meetings, staff forums, PD days, etc.
- Industry updates for students on LMS
- Learner consultation and preparation of requirement progress reporting.
- Filling in for absent colleagues on a limited basis, as required.
Experience required:
- Health or clinical related experience.
- Recent and relevant teaching experience within the area of specialization.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and implement lessons that allow for course material to be covered in the indicated time available and which also allow for the achievement of desired outcomes by a diverse student body.
- Demonstrated ability in developing resources/curriculum documents as well as criteria and standards based assessment tasks.
- Proven excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to foster high levels of collegiality with staff and ability to empathise with students.
