We have an exciting opportunity to join our Clinical Support team as the Clinical Education Manager, this is a full-time role managing Clinical Coaches, and Education Consultants across our four sites Fitzroy, East Melbourne, Kew, and Werribee.

ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE:
The Clinical Education Manager's role is to provide exemplary leadership that delivers evidence-based Clinical Education and training. The role is accountable for the development and delivery of all Education services in line with the operational plans of the facilities to achieve high staff engagement and capability for our staff to deliver exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Responsible for nursing and midwifery educational program development, implementation, and evaluation and leading members of the education team to ensure training/education is delivered to the highest standards
- Recruitment, development, and retention of learners, including graduates, post-graduates, and specialty practice programs
- Provides expert clinical and academic advice and guidance to managers and staff in relation to day-to-day learning
- Works collaboratively with Department heads to support educational strategic and operational goals
- Provide advice to the National Standards Working Committee/Working Parties regarding clinical and non-clinical practice issues including and policy procedures review
- Monitors staff compliance with required competency assessments specified by SVHA and the National Safety and Quality in Health Care standards

Your skills will include:
- Proven managerial ability and substantial experience in nursing education with a minimum of four years post-graduate teaching experience
- Clinical skills of a high order gained in acute medical-surgical nursing.
- High level leadership and management skills
- High level stakeholder engagement experience
- High-level interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral).
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment, autonomously and as part of a team
