OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY CLINICAL EDUCATOR

About the role
The Occupational Therapy Clinical Educator is responsible for the facilitation and development of education initiatives that foster a culture of clinical learning across the Occupational Therapy profession at Eastern Health.
The Occupational Therapy Clinical Educator will assist the Associate Director, Learning and Teaching and Profession Director, Occupational Therapy in collaborating with members of the Learning & Teaching Directorate and Allied Health Directorate to design, develop, deliver and evaluate education activities based on identified priorities. The Occupational Therapy Clinical Educator will work to develop both Occupational Therapy and inter-professional education opportunities, providing education to staff.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Recognised tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and current registration with AHPRA.
- Extensive clinical experience and least 7 years of experience within Occupational Therapy
- Experience in leadership of staff with extensive knowledge and experience in providing supervision, mentoring and support to staff and students.
- Applied use of education skills, methods and e-learning technologies to develop and deliver inter-professional education
- Experience of quality improvement, research processes and commitment to achieving best practice professional clinical standards.
- Experience in evaluation of clinical education and professional development of staff and students
- Advanced interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication, leadership and conflict management, in order to facilitate effective team functioning
- Current driver’s licence
