The Opportunity
Youturn is seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Educator to enhance our Mental Health team in Queensland and South Australia. The Clinical Educator will develop and deliver comprehensive clinical training programs and integrate both digital and national mental health strategies to enhance staff skills and service delivery.
Some of your key responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver clinical training sessions annually, tailored to feedback and best practices.
- Ensure staff demonstrate improved competencies post-training through effective mentorship and supervision.
- Regularly assess and adjust training programs to meet needs
- Collaborate with centre and program managers to identify and address training needs and schedule development.
- Execute an annual operations plan in line with health services strategy and organisational OKRs.
- Ensure training programs are prepared for digital delivery, enhancing accessibility and effectiveness.
- Integrate training initiatives with national mental health strategies to ensure broad coverage.
- Foster strong relationships with universities and community organisations to align educational resources with community needs.
- Work across departments to ensure clinical training is seamlessly integrated with broader organisational goals.
Selection Criteria:
- Must have one of the following: General AHPRA registration as a Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Mental Health Occupational Therapist, Mental Health Nurse OR AASW registration as a Social Worker.
- Minimum of 3 years clinical experience post qualification in the area of youth mental health and eligibility to provide clinical supervision.
- Advanced supervisory practice, including relevant supervisory frameworks specific to discipline. Experience providing interdisciplinary clinical supervision will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake training and supervision activities to support students and new graduates in the headspace centres.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, work well under pressure, and manage communications and information.
- Demonstrated ability to show innovation and flexibility to incorporate contemporary practice and enhance service delivery options.
- Proficiency in utilising technology to optimise service delivery.
Other Requirements
- Successful applicants will also need to hold a ‘C’ class Open driver licence, State Working with Children Check and hold, or be eligible to apply for, a Licensed Care Suitability Check issued by the QLD Department of Child Safety, Youth Justice and Multicultural Affairs.
