These are are both full-time, fixed-term opportunities and are based at the JCU Psychology Clinic based at the JCU Townsville Bebegu Yumba Campus in Douglas.
How you’ll make a difference
The role of Senior Clinical Educator, Psychology, involves effective leadership within the JCU Psychology Clinic situated on our Townsville Campus. As the Clinic Lead, your role focuses on providing primary clinical supervision for our postgraduate students. Your responsibilities will extend to the day-to-day educational activities of this dynamic clinic, ensuring the seamless operation of the clinic, nurturing client referrals and fostering relationships with external stakeholders. You will also make valuable contributions to the program which enables postgraduate students to meet their professional graduate competencies.
What you’ll bring
- Postgraduate qualification in Clinical Psychology with relevant experience, general registration through AHPRA, and board-approved supervisor status with experience.
- Evidence of experience in quality supervision of provisionally registered psychologists
- Demonstrated people and resource leadership and management experience, fostering a positive and high-performing team culture.
- Strong leadership experience in managing multi-level stakeholders, industry representatives, consultants, and customers.
- Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills including the ability to communicate with a diverse range of people and to develop and maintain collaborative working relationship with various stakeholders.

The JCU Psychology Clinic specialises in offering assessment services for a range of concerns, including childhood developmental disorders, learning difficulties, cognitive impairment, traumatic brain injury, and dementia. Additionally, our services encompass therapeutic interventions firmly rooted in cognitive-behavioural based approaches, incorporating third-wave methodologies and adjunctive brief therapies.
