We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and skilled Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist to join us as Clinical Educator. The role requires the analysis, development, facilitation, and co-ordination of all aspects of education and capability development for a designated portfolio to ensure compliance with nationally accredited training standards, evidence-based practice and to meet organisational development needs.
Key responsibilities:
- Coordinate, resource and advise on relevant capability development initiatives across the organisation
- Implement and maintain education information, systems and audit processes with sites to support Juniper's compliance with policy, legislative and accreditation requirements
- Implement and facilitate clinical education programs in specified areas
- Develop educational resources in allied health and clinical areas
- Provide on-the-job education, experience and or assessment
- Support professional development opportunities, capability building and development planning
- Compliance with Work Health and Safety requirements including appropriate Injury Risk Management
- Support and abide by relevant legislation in relation to workers compensation, and rehabilitation
- Significant experience in an acute health care, community health care and aged care settings
- Demonstrated experience in the development and facilitation of blended-learning education and training programs (e.g. face to face, online)
- Proven experience in facilitation and presenting to groups to seek feedback, promote and implement professional development
- Previous experience mentoring and providing clinical guidance to large teams
- Knowledge of aged care industry funding models i.e., HCP, CHSP, AN-ACC, Mandatory National Quality Indicator Program, Aged Care Quality Standards, SIRS and Quality of Care Principles requirements
- Knowledge of adult learning and assessment principles
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated computer literacy skills
- Ability to be an effective member of the organisational team whilst retaining ability to work autonomously
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or current progress towards this qualification)
- AHPRA registered health professional (physiotherapist/occupational therapist)
