ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY

ABOUT THE ROLE
This position supports the delivery of Basic and Clinical Sciences component in Years 1 and 2 (Foundation Years) of the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program.
Responsibilities
- Teaching the BCS portfolio within the Foundation Years, including laboratory tutorials, lectures, or other activities.
- Planning and updating the BCS curriculum, including development of laboratory activities and tutorials.
- Supporting and mentoring students.
- Working with the assessment team ensuring the development, alignment, evaluation and renewal of the Foundation Years BCS assessment items including exams and continuous assessments.
- Attending and participating in relevant meetings, committees and events, as required.
- Other duties as directed by the line manager, National Head of School or delegate.
ABOUT YOU
- Possession of a PhD in Science or a Health-related qualification registrable with AHPRA.
- Experience in teaching at Masters level or higher; or in medical, health or professional practice based education settings.
- Experience in teaching anatomy, physiology and fundaments of medical imaging.
- Well-developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, and the ability to liaise with people at all levels.
- Proven organisational and time management skills, as well as problem solving skills.
- Attention to detail and proven ability to complete tasks within a defined timeframe.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
- Ability to navigate and perform basic administrative tasks on Learning Management Systems.
