At the Public Fertility Service, we offer opportunities to work in a state-of-the-art laboratory equipped with the industry leading technology including Time-lapse Incubators and Electronic Witnessing. For new embryologists, there is ample opportunity to learn from a diverse group of experienced scientists. For those with previous experience we value differences between clinics and have opportunities that use your experience within our unit. We value the individuality and professional initiatives of our team at all levels.As an Embryologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory procedures related to the collection, inspection, manipulation, processing of human oocytes, sperm and embryos and other related aspects of In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF).A regular day will see you:
  • Perform standard ART procedures and other treatments undertaken in the embryology laboratory
  • Process human gametes, embryos or tissue for cryopreservation
  • Maintain accurate records of laboratory procedures and results
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and quality control measures
  • Assist with management of patients providing samples / general reception duties as required
We are looking for either senior (Grade 2) or junior (Grade 1) embryologist. Both position descriptions are available for this role.About youWe believe that a motivated, discreet professional with a “can do” attitude and flexible approach would complement our team well.Essential criteria
  • Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent;
  • Strong understanding of reproductive biology and assisted reproductive technologies
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Desirable Criteria
  • Master of Science degree or equivalent Previous experience working in an embryology laboratory
