Job Description:
The role:
The purpose of this position is to provide Clinical Informatics expertise for the D&T infrastructure across the hospital. The role will be the on- site Clinical Informatics resource / lead for any D&T matters and involved with support and escalation. This role will coordinate and be involved with D&T system user training, documentation, communication, change and user configuration management . This role is a super-user and will coordinate and provide orientation and ongoing education for staff on existing applications on site. The role is expected to work with equivalents CISs across SVHA. This is a permanent part time role.

Your skills and experience:
  • Ability to maintain collaborative and effective relationships with all multidisciplinary team members
  • Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail and highly organised
  • Ability to work flexibly within the hospital campus and clinical services
  • Ability to provide service consistent with the mission and philosophy of the facility
  • Ability to participate in and support education activities and to contribute to the development of self and other team members
  • Have a working knowledge and understanding of relevant regulations and legislation
  • Ability to contribute towards effective risk management within the facility particularly in compliance with Privacy legislation, NSQHS Standards, Work Health & Safety legislation
  • Demonstrated application of contemporary infection control standards and practices
  • Ability to participate and lead quality improvement activities, analytics and complex problems
  • Comprehends the healthcare environment and the impact of technologies on clinical workflows
