About the role
headspace in partnership with Mind aims to promote and facilitate improvements in the mental health, social wellbeing and economic participation of young people aged 12-25 years residing in the Eastern suburbs. Services in this space are delivered across four core streams - primary health care, mental health, alcohol and other drug (AOD) and social/vocational to improve access for young people to mental health programs.
We are seeking a self-motivated and compassionate Clinical Lead for a permanent, part time (30.4 hours per week) opportunity in the Plenty Valley area. You will provide leadership to a multidisciplinary team to provide person-centred care and treatment to young people with mild to moderate mental ill health. In this role you will also undertake a small caseload of intake, assessments, key work and counselling.
Key responsibilities
- Coach and lead staff to deliver high quality services to young people, families friends and carers.
- Positively influence and contribute to a service and team culture that focusses on meeting the goals of young people using evidence informed practice.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team offering specialised psychosocial support.
- Provide practice and clinical supervision to staff who are providing direct support to individual young person as well as supervision to other staff
What you’ll bring
- Tertiary degree qualifications in Allied Health (Occupational Therapy, Social Worker, Psychology or Psychiatric Nursing).
- Expertise in working directly with young people with mental health issues, complex needs, and with their families, friends and carers.
- Demonstrated capacity to effectively lead, coach and develop a team to achieve best quality service outcomes including experience in the provision of professional supervision.
