About you:
You are qualified Clinical Midwife practicing an advanced level of clinical evidence-based, midwifery skill and knowledge in midwifery practices, ability to critically assess, review accuracy and interpret data for data entry purposes related to perinatal and Maternity Services and knowledge of computers and computer software: spreadsheets, and other database software.
Your opportunity:
The Clinical Midwife provides an early leadership role within the career pathway for midwifery within the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service. The Clinical MidwifeData Coordinator is responsible for oversight of the quality and completeness of perinatal data collection and other Women's Health databases at the Cairns Hospital. This position works with and supports the Women's Health Managers and Regional Maternity Services Coordinator. The Clinical MidwifeData Coordinator utilises advanced midwifery practice knowledge to ensure accuracy of data and interpretation.
Your role:
Integrate advanced midwifery knowledge and clinical experience with evidence from a range of sources to ensure accuracy of data input and interpretation.
Monitoring the accuracy and completeness of data to assure figures meets quality standards.
Data management including but not limited to:
Assisting with data requests,
Data entry, collection, and analysis
Preparing reports in a useful format for tabling at relevant governance and committee meetings, and for State collection.
