You can read more about SMHS in our Strategic Plan .The Clinical Midwifery Consultant is responsible for providing a clinical consultancy service within Maternity Services at Fiona Stanley Hospital and external HSP’s. This dynamic role will lead and manage the Midwifery/Nursing workforce to deliver evidence-based care to achieve optimal patient outcomes within allocated resources. The Clinical Midwifery Consultant has direct responsibility for innovative improvements and maintaining standards, policy and guideline development, developing solutions and delivering outcomes consistent with service and organisational imperatives and targets. Ensures midwifery staff has access to education, quality improvement activities and research methodology. As a key leader in the interdisciplinary team, the Clinical Midwifery Consultant will ensure that the Maternity service meets the requirement for delivery of a patient centred service against key performance indicators: quality, budget and human resources.Our Values guide our work in every action, and that includes recruitment and employment!
