Due to growth within the organisation Doherty Clinical Trials has a casual opportunity for Clinical Nurses to join the team!
The Clinical Nurse is responsible for the provision of safe and compliant nursing practices throughout clinical trials to support the production of high-quality research and results.
The Clinical Nurse will provide guidance from time to time to other clinical and non-clinical staff throughout the setup, operational conduct and finalization of clinical vaccine, treatment, and human challenge research trials compliant with ICH GCP to ensure participant safety is paramount.
Doherty Clinical Trails is seeking experienced Clinical Nurses that enjoy working in a collaborative care environment where they will be supporting heathy participants across a broad age cohort.
The RoleThe Clinical Nurse will be responsible for actively supporting a culture of participant safety across all aspects of vaccine and human challenge trial processes. In addition, this role will work closely with researchers and partners to produce high quality, safe, timely and effective research that meets the needs of all stakeholders.
The Clinical Nurse will also monitor and report on the progress of clinical trials including patient compliance, adverse reactions, results, and general data quality to make recommendations to the relevant research and clinical leads as appropriate.
Doherty Clinical Trials offers a detailed and comprehensive induction program for all casual nurses.

In addition, you will have well developed judgement and decision-making skills to prioritise conflicting demands and meet deadlines. You will possess:- Detailed understanding of GCP and experience in early phase clinical trials (experience in early phase / phase 1 clinical trial unit is highly desirable).
- Able to balance multiple projects and timelines to ensure delivery.
- Understanding of quality and compliance and the importance of research outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with key stakeholders, including participants within a clinical trial.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Ability to work as a team player and support others within the Doherty Clinical Trials as needed.
To protect the health and safety of participants, staff and other healthcare workers, vaccination for certain diseases is highly recommended for staff.
