Both positions are for Permanent Part Time or Fixed Term opportunities at 60.80 hrs per fortnight with the possibility of an extension(s) and permanency.

We are seeking talented and enthusiastic Clinical Nurses to join the Population Health Team at Tom Price Hospital – Pilbara.

Tom Price is located in the Heart of the Pilbara, approx. 1450kms from Perth, easily accessible by car or air with daily flights to Perth.

To be successful, you will have...

  • Evidence of significant recent post-graduate nursing experience with demonstrated advanced nursing knowledge and skills relevant to nominated program/service delivery area.
  • Demonstrated well developed interpersonal skills and ability to communicate across a diverse spectrum of the population.
  • Demonstrate understanding of the principles of Primary Health Care and the application to practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of health issues and health promotion principles and programmes in a rural, remote, and multicultural environment particularly relating to Aboriginal Health

Position Profile:

This position promotes the health and well- being of children, families and specific community groups using a range of health promotion, health education, surveillance and early intervention strategies that are based on the principles of primary health care and service priorities.

The Country Nursing & Midwifery incentive program is available to new and existing nurses and midwives - across a broad range of patient-facing roles - on fixed term or permanent contracts at 76 select locations. Eligible nurses and midwives can receive between $5,000 and $17,000 in support over 12 months (WA Country Health Service - Country Nursing and Midwifery Incentive Program).
