About the Opportunity:
St Vincent’s Private Hospital Toowoomba is the largest acute private hospital on the Darling Downs. We are a 189-bed facility with highly experienced and skilled staff that work as a team to deliver the highest standard of healthcare to all our patients. Our services include medical, surgical, maternity, paediatric, emergency, cardiac and rehabilitation. We are supported by comprehensive allied health services and advanced medical and diagnostic services. Pathology, radiology and pharmacy are also available on site, and our emergency department is open 24 hours, seven days a week.
As the Clinical Nurse Consultant (Bed Day & Discharge Coordinator) you’ll be part of an experienced, engaged and dedicated clinical team helping to create a welcoming, professional and supportive care experience for our patients. You will provide effective and timely admission/discharge processes and case management of patients particular with an extended length of stay, reporting to the Assistant Director of Clinical Services you will contribute towards developing strategies to maximise cost-effectiveness and efficiency in the discharge process.

Things that work for us:
Nursing Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency is essential
Demonstrated application of contemporary infection control standards and practices
Ability to participate in quality improvement activities
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in relevant specialty
Willingness to be able to work on a permanent part time basis
Effective communication skills at all levels enabling you to achieve best practice
Recent experience in the speciality area you are interested in applying for, and appropriate qualifications and registration.
You will understand the importance of providing quality care, and you feel rewarded by creating a genuine impact
Well-developed interpersonal skills that provide the support and nurture for our patients and organisation’s needs.
