Key Responsibilities include:
- Assume responsibility and accountability for own actions and the delegation and supervision of nursing care to Registered Midwives (RMs), Registered Nurses (RNs), Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs).
- Lead and achieve optimal cancer outcomes and delivery of high quality and efficient cancer services by:
- Applying expert clinical nursing knowledge, skills and experience with a designated tumour stream/s throughout the entire patient pathway from disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, survivorship and / or transition to palliative care.
- Ensuring ongoing assessment of the patient pathway within their designated tumour stream/s to ensure their role is responsive to new developments in cancer treatments, supportive care and evolving service needs.
