Opportunity for personal growth and learning!
The Albury Wodonga Health (AWH) Clinical Safety and Quality Unit is seeking a Clinical Nurse Consultant to work in Blood Management.
The Blood Management CNC supports quality improvement, staff training and education requirements in all facets of blood management and transfusion practice, to ensure safe and optimal patient care is maintained. The role serves as a key contact between the laboratory and clinical areas to facilitate effective communication, escalation of issues/concerns and the dissemination of information relating to blood management and safety. In this role you will be supported to lead organisational change and drive quality improvement activities, supporting the safe and effective management of blood at AWH within a multidisciplinary team.
This position is 0.4FTE (16 hours per week) and provides the opportunity for experienced clinicians and educators to develop extended knowledge in all aspects of blood management in a supportive and high-performing team. You will be supported to undergo training through the Australian Red Cross Lifeblood programs and undertake BloodSafe eLearning short courses relating to transfusion practice and patient blood management education. While previous knowledge of blood management processes are desirable, they are not essential, as long as you have previous senior experience in a relevant area of nursing practice such as theatre, emergency or critical care.
