About this role
This position provides advanced evidence based nursing care to women with gynaecological malignancy from diagnosis through to discharge/end of life care as they navigate the healthcare settings across the Cancer Council optimal cancer care pathways, including the coordination of Complex Care planning external to WNHS. This includes providing expert clinical support, specialist advice, information and education to women, carers and the multidisciplinary teams across both internal and external, public and private health care providers.
This role reports to the Coordinator of Nursing and Midwifery and supervises Registered Nurses.

This is a Fixed Term Part Time appointment for 6 months at 40 hours per fortnight, with the possibility of extension(s).
Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
