We care.About the roleThe Police, Ambulance and Clinical Early Response (PACER) is a collaborative arrangement between Health, Police and Ambulance to improve responses to mental health emergencies. The PACER model centres on a dedicated joint police and mental health secondary response activated by police, targeted to times of greatest demand and offering on site and telephone mental health assistance. The PACER Clinician is based at the Richmond Police Station (in Lismore) and will provide highly mobile, recovery orientated clinical advice, consultancy and support to NSW Police managing mental health related cases in the community.
Providing clinical support and strategies to manage consumers' mental health crisis in the community in the least restrictive manner and offering alternative care pathways to consumers. Working as an integral part of an operational police unit as required and providing advanced level interventions including triage, mental health assessment, and management of complex mental health emergencies and crises.Join our team and you’ll enjoy:
