Fiona Stanley Hospital is currently looking for a Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) to join the dedicated team at the Breast Assessment Unit (BAU).
The BAU is an integrated service for the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer and breast related conditions. The multidisciplinary team in BAU aims to deliver the highest of care in the diagnosis of breast disorders and the surgical management of breast disease.
As a CNC, you will be responsible for
- providing a clinical consultancy service at the BAU
- developing standards of practice
- implementing changes to clinical practice
- educating staff
- initiating research and quality improvement activities
- provision of a consultation service within your area of expertise across hospital services and external sites.
The CNC works collaboratively to improve the quality of patient care and promote desired outcomes in patient population.
As a senior nurse, you have professional accountability to the Director of Nursing and Midwifery. You will also provide mentorship and role modelling for nurses and contributes to the advancement of the profession, in keeping with the vision and values for Fiona Stanley Nursing.
Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) is a 783-bed tertiary hospital offering a range of health services including the State Rehabilitation Service, a comprehensive cancer centre, purpose-built mental health unit, maternity, paediatric and neonatal services, and the State Adult Burns Service. FSH also delivers specialised services such as heart and lung transplantations and hyperbaric medicine.
