About your opportunity The Clinical Nurse will provide clinical expertise, support, and education to nursing staff within Medical Ward 4 to ensure the provision of best practice and quality patient care. Medical Ward 4 is a part of the Medical Services Group (MSG). It is a 36-bed ward, comprising of 20 acute medical beds and 16 Short Stay beds for short length of stay patients from different specialties Skills and experience: Proven ability to comprehensively assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care at an advanced level within a complex environment. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with team members, patients and other stakeholders, including participation in relevant networks to achieve work unit outcomes. Ability to provide nursing leadership in the clinical and professional setting including the role modelling of effective communication and problem solving. Proven ability to use information and reporting systems appropriate to the position in order to achieve outcomes and identify areas for improvement. Proven ability to provide clinical education and support at an advanced level and demonstrate own professional development. Role Requirements Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory. Proof of qualification, registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate. Highly Desirable: Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field is highly desirable. Such experience may be discipline specific or have a service area focus. Shift Workers: Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster. This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis. Generous remuneration package value up to $9576.00 p.m. comprising and a salary range of $52.86 to $56.60 p.h.
