About the Role:
An exciting opportunity is presented to work within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as a Clinical Nurse within the Women and Children’s Division.
This position will offer you professional growth opportunities within a supportive and inclusive culture. In this key position you will demonstrate your experience and previous success working as a Registered Mental Health Nurse to ensure high quality care is delivered to our consumers.
The NALHN Perinatal Mental Health Nursing and Midwifery team is a small specialist team, who provide consultation and liaison advice to NALHN clinicians to support their assessment and care of women with Mental Health disorders during pregnancy and following birth. Perinatal Mental Health refers to the emotional and psychological Mental Health and wellbeing of a woman during the period from conception through the postnatal period.
The NALHN Perinatal Mental Health Nursing and Midwifery team work together with a consultant Psychiatrist, psychiatry trainees, GP’s and community support agencies to assess and case manage a number of women with complex Mental Health and trauma conditions.
The Perinatal Mental HealthClinical Nurse accepts accountability for their own practice standards, activities delegated to others and the guidance and development of less experienced staff.
The Perinatal Mental HealthClinical Nurse role continues to be predominantly clinical in nature; however, employees are assigned appropriate portfolios. The allocation of portfolio responsibilities should be negotiated with each employee and be consistent with the career development plan for the employee as determined by their performance review/development plan.
