An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Clinical Nurse to join the team at a private hospital in North Brisbane. It is a full-time opportunity
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Clinical Nurse, you will have the opportunity to be active in a leadership role, including the development and provision of evidence-based clinical nursing, while working and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
This role will require you to:
- Act as a professional resource and demonstrate broad knowledge in all facets of caring for patients;
- Ensure the department is safe, effective and follows best practice;
- Supervising and supporting staff within the unit;
- Participate in Quality improvement Programs in line with organisational and departmental strategic plans.
- Relevant registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia;
- A minimum of 4 years post-registration experience, including 3 years of experience in PACU / Recovery Nursing;
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills;
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required;
- Understanding of scope of practice;
- Ability to manage designated portfolio and display sound leadership skills;
- Preceptorship experience and a compassionate approach to mentoring student and novice nurses;
- Sound written and verbal communication skills;
- Demonstrated knowledge/experience in accreditation processes, clinical indicators, and other quality projects;
- Excellent time management skills;
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office programs;
- Post-graduate qualifications in Perioperative Nursing or Post-Anaesthetic Care or willingness to commence within 12 months of starting.
