Are you an enthusiastic and experienced RN seeking an opportunity to move into a Clinical Nurse position? Would you love to join a collaborative team, where we have fun while we work? Want to develop your leadership skills and support and educate the team?

Gold Coast Private Hospital is currently seeking an experienced nurse to join our nursing team on our Surgical Ward. You will play a key role in supporting both patients and staff to ensure high levels of patient care is provided and you will have a range of skills to support the assessment, care and discharge planning for our patients.

You will love being a part of a team and your ability to build rapport with patients and educate them throughout their stay will see you succeed in this position.

Established in 2016 Gold Coast Private Hospital is a 339 bed, 22 operating theatre facility located in Southport, the heart of the Gold Coast Precinct.

Specialities include; 24/7 Emergency Care Centre, Medical, Orthopaedic, Bariatric, Neurosurgical, Plastics, ENT & General Surgical, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care and Oncology. As a Clinical Nurse your responsibilities will include:

  • Demonstrate high-level professional nursing practice as evidenced by adhering to AHPRA professional standards, code of ethics and conduct, legislative requirements and Healthscope's polices and processes
  • Support the nursing team with planning, assessment, implementation and evaluation of excellent standard of evidence based, person centred patient care
  • Foster learning within the unit, by demonstrating and sharing your high-level nursing skills on the job with colleagues, peers, ENs, graduates and students.
  • Maintaining your own professional learning and continuous professional development
  • Act as a valued member of the inter-disciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care by actively contributing to team processes and practices
  • Collaborate with external partners to ensure patients receive a high quality of care across the health care continuum
  • Maintain professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners, using a customer service mindset, to enable high quality patient outcomes

Essential Criteria:

  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working on a Surgical Ward - Gastro/Gynaecological and Urology experience will be an advantage.
  • Post graduate study completed or working towards
  • Understanding of the Australian National Commission in Quality and Safety Ten National Standards
  • Demonstrate the ability to show initiative and work within a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills
