The Role:

This is a challenging but rewarding opportunity for you to make a positive change in our organisation. The role works closely with the Aged Care General Manager and NDIS General Manager to ensure that compliance standards are met.  This may include the development of relevant policy and procedure. The Registered Nurse role is required to lead the Quality Care Advisory Body and to provide education sessions and develop training responses where indicated.

The responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Responsible for the provision of clinical teaching to all levels of staff within Coastlink
  • Collaborate in the development, implementation and evaluation of the Coastlink’s orientation program 
  •  Participate in the teaching and assessment of annual mandatory skills/competencies of all staff
  • Develop and maintain clinical education resources 
  • Undertake self-assessment against relevant standards to identify gaps in service delivery responses.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of a CQI Plan
  • Develop resources to support the achievement of accreditation
  • Participate in clinical governance meetings
  • Lead clinical practice across the divisions

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA 

  • Clinical experience in the provision of Aged care or disability care either in residential or community care setting
  • Sound understanding of clinical governance & effective risk management 
  • Experience in leading and supporting accreditation processes
  • Demonstrated evidence of clinical teaching 
  • Demonstrated use of evidenced based practice 
  • Excellent communication skills and solid interpersonal skills 
  • Demonstrated high level computer skills. – MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • A passion to embrace and apply Coastlink's values and ethics to foster a culture of positive support, client empowerment, honesty, accountability, inclusion, respect and empathy. 
  • To be a courteous representative of Coastlink in all undertakings with service users, their carers and in the community portray a positive public image at all times.
  • A NDIS Worker Screen Check, Working with Children Check, current NSW Driver’s license and an RMS driving record
