About the role
Gold Coast Private Hospital is seeking experienced nurses who have outstanding customer service skills and who demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to join our 30 bed surgical ward (bariatric, gynaecology, general surgery and ENT).
As a Clinical Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
Deliver quality-nursing care by Assessing, Planning, Implementing and evaluating individual patient care
Educate, support and lead staff
Provide a standard of care according to the individual’s level of experience and education maintaining high quality nursing care within a safe environment
Develop and utilise strategies that encourage an atmosphere conducive to effective communication
Work in partnership with patients and families in decision-making regarding provision of care promoting beneficial relationships

Essential requirements:
Current AHPRA registration
Minimum 3 years acute care experience
Demonstrate ability to deliver high quality patient care
Knowledge the National Safety & Quality Health Service Standards.
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrate the ability to show initiative and work within a team environment
Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development
Post graduate qualifications in nursing or willingness to undertake is desirable
Previous experience as clinical nurse desirable but not essential
