The Social Space Psychology Clinic for Diverse Thinkers is a growing Psychology clinic dedicated to motivating and empowering the neuro-diverse population by providing a safe and inclusive space that encourages positive well-being, resilience, improved sense of self and social confidence. We pride ourselves on our professionalism and expertise, whilst creating a fun, safe and inclusive environment!
We are looking for a highly motivated Psychologist passionate about supporting the neuro-diverse community (namely, those with Autism, ADHD or social difficulties) to join our team in 2024!
Qualifications & experience
- A current Working with Children’s Check
- A current National Police Clearance and relevant Criminal History checks
- Full Registration as a Clinical Psychologist or a General Psychologist through Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Completed a 4-year degree in Psychology or equivalent
- Post graduate studies in Clinical or Education and Developmental Psychology is preferred but not necessary.
- Have an ABN or be able to obtain one as well as appropriate insurances
- Experience in working with children, teens and families diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder or ADHD is preferred but not necessary.

Tasks & responsibilities
- Eligibility to provide services under Medicare and NDIS
- Commitment to achieving therapeutic goals using effective evidence-based treatment strategies to assist children, teens and young adults with Autism, ADHD and other social-emotional difficulties (including family/parent support).
- Previous experience in delivering a range of psychological interventions that are creative, flexible and specifically tailored to clients of all ages.
- Ability to facilitate group programs for children, teens and young adults in a fun and engaging way!
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills that allow you to be humanistic and connected in all your interactions.
- Good communication and time management skills for all necessary written and verbal communications, as well as a good work ethic.
