Our team is seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist!

About The Opportunity

This position is responsible for the coordination of the Gold Card Clinic and the 12-month comprehensive DBT program. Duties include coordinating referrals, conducting assessments, delivering all aspects of the DBT program, ensuring delivery of GCC sessions and supporting other clinicians in the delivery of GCC sessions, liaising with other professionals, service managers, and external stakeholders, and analysing project data and reporting on outcomes. The role will also be providing therapeutic interventions to individuals involved in each of the stepped care programs.

Our office is located in the heart of Bankstown CBD (not the hospital). There is access to public transport and free public parking.

What You'll Be Doing

To deliver specialist psychological and psychosocial assessment, diagnosis, interventions and consultation in order to address the needs of consumers who are living with complex mental health problems and disorders.

The role also participates in the evaluation of clinical outcomes of services and assists in the development and provision of education and training programs. Additionally, the role supervises Psychologists and other disciplines working within the LHD according to organisational needs.

  • Full AHPRA registration as a Psychologist with a Master's degree or higher in Clinical Psychology and post graduate experience in acute mental health, community mental health or an inpatient mental health setting.
  • Demonstrated competence in a wide range of psychological assessments and evidence based psychological treatments delivered on an individual and/or group basis
  • Demonstrated experience working independently in the provision of patient/consumer-focused care.
  • Demonstrated skills in working with persons diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder using DBT specific interventions.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the quality improvement process for service development, implementation and evaluation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to accomplish service goals and improved patient and/or consumer care and outcomes.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in consultation with supervision and peers.
  • Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit the target audience.
  • Must possess a valid Australian Drivers Licence (excluding learner driver's licences). If not already in possession, a NSW Drivers Licence must be obtained within 3 months of appointment.
