Job Description
In this 12 months fixed-term full-time role, you will be a part of the EJ Whitten Prostate Cancer Centre at Epworth, a philanthropic funded specialist centre dedicated to making a difference in the lives of patients with prostate cancer. Reporting to the Research Program Manager, you will work with a close-knit team and be responsible for coordinating and managing Clinical Research studies and trials in prostate and urological cancer. This is an office-based, face-to-face role.
You will make an impact by:
- Collaborating with Principal Investigators to develop and manage clinical trials and Clinical Research protocols
- Overseeing recruitment to a wide range of clinical studies, both commercial and non-commercial
- Developing your skills and capabilities as a research professional within a team culture that actively encourages collaborative research
To be successful in this role…
You will be someone who enjoys working with research teams, clinicians, and other research professionals. You will be a great communicator, with an empathetic and supportive approach and an ability to build strong productive relationships with colleagues and key stakeholders. You will have an eye for process improvement and quickly fixing any issues that may come your way.
You will have:
- Relevant qualifications in health and science
- Minimum of 12 months' experience in a clinical and/or research setting, with experience in planning and conducting research projects and clinical trials desirable
- Experience in nursing is desirable
- Previous experience in oncology research or medical oncology is desirable
- Previous experience working with tissue/blood sample collections, processing and storage would be advantageous
