Overview of position

The Clinical Trial Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Senior Clinical Study Operations Manager in the management of multiple clinical studies from study start-up activities to study close out. Also responsible for performing on-site and remote site visits and supporting the Study Team in successful completion of multiple clinical studies in accordance with Vaxxas timelines.

Essential duties & responsibilities.

• Track the progress of a Clinical Trial including patient recruitment, trial supplies and trial documentation.
• Compiling ethics and governance applications for submission.
• Provide administrative support for designated clinical research personnel, including Clinical Trial Manager and other Monitors.
• Track and process invoices and authorise Clinical Trial payments to selected vendors and investigational sites, accurately and in a timely manner.
• Develop a Trial Master File and keep updated.
• Act as a liaison between the Monitor and investigator sites, as required.
• Assist in Clinical Trial monitoring of timelines and resources.
• Perform on-site/remote site qualification, site initiation, site monitoring and site close out visits.

Required capabilities

Candidates should have a qualification in a Life science focused BSc (or equivalent) or an alternate science/medical/nursing/pharmacy-based qualification.

• The ideal candidate may have exposure to vaccine science, technology and manufacturing, but is not mandatory.
• Previous experience in Clinical Trials (1+ years) is mandatory. This could be Clinical Trial Assistant or Clinical Trial Coordinator or related Clinical Trial operations domain.
• Ability to work in a team and to manage work priorities to meet competing deadlines.
• A commitment to the development of innovative vaccine delivery system.
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.

Selection criteria

• Experience as a Clinical Trial Coordinator or Clinical Trial Assistant within a Clinical Trial site / CRO or Sponsor organisation.
• You must have a self-starter attitude, be flexible and be adaptable to the ever-changing timelines and project priorities.
• Ability to work in a team and manage work priorities to meet competing deadlines.
