UniSC has established a world class Clinical Trials business unit which builds the region's collective clinical research capacity and delivers innovative and regionally relevant research in consultation with key stakeholders, including local healthcare professionals, pharmaceutical executives, and other key thought leaders.

You will be responsible for ensuring all clinical trial laboratory activities are conducted in accordance with ICH/Good Clinical Practice, Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), UniSC CT standard operating procedures (SOPs), and applicable regulations, legislation and guidance, including the Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) approved clinical trial protocol.

Please note, this position will require a flexible approach, to travel between campuses and our clinical trial centres, as necessary.

You will

• support the Laboratory Manager and Clinical Trials Co-ordinator with the management of laboratory samples collected, processed, and shipped for trials conducted at UniSC Clinical Trials (UniSC CT); and
• work collaboratively with the UniSC CT team, sponsors, and monitors to ensure appropriate and timely management of all trial protocol nominated laboratory samples.

About you:

You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will thrive working both autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Additionally, you will enjoy showcasing your high-level computing skills in databases, clinical trial electronic data entry, word processing and spreadsheets.

To be successful you will possess:

• completion of a post-graduate qualifications and extensive experience OR a combination of relevant experience and education/training;
• degree qualification in Health Science/Bio-Medical Science and relevant laboratory experience - or a combination of relevant work experience and education/training; and
• knowledge of ICH Good Clinical Practice/ Good Laboratory Practice and applicable regulations.

Desirable

• previous experience in a clinical trial laboratory role/setting.
• current Safe Transport of Infectious Substances by Air certification.
