The Opportunity
UniSC has established a world class Clinical Trials business unit which builds the region’s collective clinical research capacity and delivers innovative and regionally relevant research in consultation with key stakeholders, including local healthcare professionals, pharmaceutical executives, and other key thought leaders.

Ready to join us in supporting the implementation and conduct of clinical research? Your role will involve ensuring everything aligns with quality standards, regulations, and guidelines.
Please note, this position will require a flexible approach, to travel between campuses and our clinical trial centres, as necessary.
You will
- ensure all clinical trial laboratory activities are conducted in accordance with ICH/Good Clinical Practice, Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), UniSC CT standard operating procedures (SOPs), and applicable regulations, legislation and guidance, including the Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) approved clinical trial protocols;
- support the Laboratory Manager and Clinical Trials Co-ordinator with the management of laboratory samples collected, processed, and shipped for trials; and
- work collaboratively with the UniSC CT team, sponsors, and monitors to ensure appropriate and timely management of all trial protocol nominated laboratory samples.
About you
Your sound computing skills, including proficiency in data entry, will ensure that our operations run seamlessly. Your ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team will come naturally to you, contributing to the success of our centre. Additionally, your keen attention to detail and strong organisational skills will guarantee the timely and high-quality completion of assigned tasks.
To be successful you will possess
- degree qualification in Health Science/Bio-Medical Science and relevant laboratory experience – or a combination of relevant work experience and education/training;
- knowledge of ICH Good Clinical Practice/ Good Laboratory Practice and applicable regulations;
- high level computing skills (including databases, clinical trial electronic data entry, word processing and spreadsheets); and
- previous experience in a clinical trial laboratory role/setting will be highly regarded.
