Mater Pharmacy has an exciting opportunity for aClinical Trials Pharmacistto join our Clinical Trials Pharmacy team on a permanent part-time basis working 15hrs per week (two 7.5hr days, one of which is a Wednesday).

Salary range:$60.01 - $64.54 (Health Practitioner Level 4) per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900
What you’ll be doing
You will support the Clinical Trials Pharmacy Services throughout the hospital complex in compliance with hospital policy, relevant Acts, standards and Code of Practice. You will also be responsible for the following:
- To confer with pharmacy, medical, nursing, allied health staff and the Research Secretariat to apply appropriate ethical and scientific principles to approved investigational protocols
- Preparation of summary of trial protocol and dispensing procedure for the study
- Development of drug accountability forms
- Liaison with investigators and monitors
- Development or allocation of randomisation
- Development of placebos and special dose forms
- Completion of drug accountability records
- Collection and analysis of data
- Ensuring adequate supplies and maintaining inventory of receipt and return of supplies
- Ongoing liaison with investigators and monitors
- Storage in a secure place under appropriate storage conditions
- Regular monitoring of drug accountability records
- Noting and compliance with protocol amendments
- Document appropriate dispensing and labelling
- Maintenance of drug accountability / dispensing records
- Checking for protocol adherence
- Determining patient compliance
- Invoicing of CT Pharmacy services via internal accounting software
- Clinical Trial Pharmacy Folder archival procedures
- Destruction of Investigational Product and associated pharmacy supplies
About you
You will hold a Bachelor degree in Pharmacy and be eligible for registration as a pharmacist (AHPRA). You will also have:
- Proven experience in the provision of Clinical Trials Pharmacy Services
- GCP Accreditation (desirable)
