Access theThe Townsville Hospital and Health Service vision is world-class healthcare for northern Queensland.Our purpose is `great care every day'.About your opportunityFixed Term Temporary full-time ASAP up to 02.03.2025 with possibility of extensionThe primary focus and responsibility of the position is to deliver advanced level pharmaceutical advice, management, leadership and services in the area of Drug Use Evaluation (DUE) and Investigational Drugs for Townsville Hospital and Health Service (HHS).It is a requirement that variable working hours potentially providing a 7-day extended hour's pharmacy service may be required.Generous remuneration package value up to $13,965 p.m. comprising:
- Salary range of $5395.60 to $5630.00 p.f. (HP5)
- Annual leave with 17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.
- Ability to provide active leadership in the development of high-level service improvement initiatives within THHS and where appropriate, on a state-wide basis.
- Proficient communication, interpersonal and time management skills evidenced by effectively prioritising workload and provision of service to patients, carers, health professionals and key stakeholders.
- Ability to collaborate with senior management to ensure effective cooperation within and across work unit/s to enhance service delivery and quality of outcomes.
- Ability to provide authoritative counsel in matters relating to Clinical Trials, other investigational drugs, and Drug usage evaluation to stakeholders within Townsville HHS.
- Ability to provide expert training and guidance to pharmacists, pharmacy interns and pharmacy support staff to build clinical knowledge and skills relating to Investigational Drugs and DUE.
- Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree from a recognised tertiary institution and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Post-graduate qualifications in Pharmacy are recommended.
- GCP certification and COVID-19 Commonwealth Vaccination training are desirable.
- Rostered overtime and on-call are a requirement of this position.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
