About the roleThe
Community Mental Health Clinician is responsible for the provision of care and treatment to consumers of Goulburn Valley Area
Mental Health Services that is alert to, respectful of and responsive to the views and needs of consumers, families, carers and their culture and community. The
Community Mental Health Clinician must be able to work autonomously and productively with other members of the multi-disciplinary team to maximise team objectives and maintain a high standard of clinical care. The position includes rotating rostered duties in both the Case Management and Acute Response Teams, and the provision of outreach services across the catchment area therefore travel and working across locations may be involved. This position reports directly to the Senior Clinician within the Case Management or Acute Response Team. The
Adult Community Mental Health Manager manages both the Case Management and Acute Response Team. The
Community Mental Health Clinician amongst others is responsible for promoting Goulburn Valley Health as a quality regional service provider.
We are looking for:- Registration with AHPRA or professional association dependent on profession
- Minimum of 3 years' postgraduate experience
- Sound knowledge of principles and practice of psychiatric care
- Competence in assessment of mental state and risk, care delivery and case management of consumers with a psychiatric illness
