About the role:
The GV Health Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) is a community program providing assessment, treatment, care and support to young people under the age of 18 years with severe and complex Mental Health difficulties. The CAMHS Clinician role will work within a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, well supported by psychiatry medical staff. The role will work in collaboration with young people and their families and support networks, providing comprehensive developmental Mental Health assessments, evidence based interventions and case coordination. Opportunities for both individual and group work may be available. The clinician will be well supported with generous professional development and supervision.
The successful candidate will have:
- Registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist, Psychologist or Registered Psychiatric Nurse.
- Registered Psychiatric Nurses must have: a post-graduate qualification or equivalent in Mental Health
- Psychologists must have: current psychology registration with the Psychology Board of Australia
- Occupational Therapists must be: eligible for registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia
- Social Workers must be: eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
- Experience in working with children and young people with Mental Health difficulties, or willingness to learn same
- Experience in the provision of Mental Health crisis assessments, risk assessments, safety planning and crisis management planning
