(MSHC) is an incorporated not for profit organisation. May Shaw Health Centre incorporates May Shaw Swansea, and May Shaw Aminya, Scottsdale.Our Swansea site incorporates a 50 bed Residential Aged Care Facility, 18 independent living units, an Urgent Care Centre, 3 sub-acute beds and a variety of Home Care packages and services. Our Scottsdale site incorporates a 61 bed Residential Aged Care Facility and a variety of Home Care packages and services.Our Vision is to support our communities to celebrate life in every stage. We aim to do this by working with our rural communities to provide responsive and innovative health and aged care services to enable our communities to remain in their local area.Position PurposeThe purpose of this role is to assist, develop and coordinate the delivery of the MHSC's Human Resources “Program of Work”.Operating ContextThe employee is required to set and mutually agree priorities and monitor work flow in the areas of responsibility, has the authority to exercise a degree of autonomy within the key responsibilities and duties.Any issues falling outside these areas are to be referred to the employee's manager.AutonomyThis position is directly responsible to their immediate manager for all aspects of service delivery for duties under their control.Role Accountabilities1. Works in conjunction with the MSHC Leadership Team to achieve business outcomes aligned to the defined strategic objectives, vision and value2. Influences and supports business stakeholders at senior levels of MSHC to improve business performance through the effective utilisation of the organisation's Human Resources in liaison with the Human Resources Manager.3. Act as a point of reference providing expert advice on human resource matters, as well as implementing significant operational processes and procedures in consultation with relevant parties.4. Builds an understanding, and takes ownership of, the organisation's vision, values, strategies and objectives in developing and supporting the desired culture.5. Works proactively at a tactical level and partners with business stakeholders to define and implement business plans, respond and resolve problems and develop innovative initiatives.6. Identify and contribute to the resolution of organisational strategic and tactical HR needs by applying a commercial mindset to business issues, business planning, policy, continuous improvement and management reporting.7. Advise, consult, engage and support all levels of management in building internal organisational capability.8. Implement and facilitate change and sustain improvement in line with business strategic objectives.9. Develop and maintain strong relationships with all levels of management and employees to enable effective communication and engagement to achieve and sustain MSHC's desired culture.10. Provide guidance and advice to the MSHC Leadership / Management team in the attraction, recruitment, performance management, retention and exiting of employees.11. Develop and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships essential to our business.12. Conducts and manages all aspects of the employee lifecycle for the MSHC employee cohort.13. Coordinates the work, health and safety obligations and activities to ensure that MSHC provides a safe workplace for its employees.14. Conducts and manages complex investigations following procedural fairness and transparency where liaison and relationship building with the union and operations is imperative.15. Drives best practice solutions as appropriate and displays appropriate discretion when escalating complex unresolved matters.16. Implement and apply HR policies, processes, procedures and standards, enabling a performance orientated and legislatively compliant business operation.17. Implement, review, measure and update key teams on progress towards the HR program of work through consistent participation in business meetings, planning and development events.18. Support a positive employee relations environment through accountability for providing advice on awards, agreements and employment standards, and by contributing to enterprise agreement negotiations and labour / training management partnerships in conjunction with the business.19. Manage required projects, including planning, coordination, implementation, delivery and administration within required timeframes20.
