We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Engineer with strong development skills to join our dynamic remote team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in AWS, along with expertise in Java development, DevOps practices, and python. Additionally, knowledge of RESTful APIs and PostgreSQL is essential for success in this role.

Working in a skilled team to enhance and maintain our Software as a Service platform. Applicants from all locations are welcome to apply as this is a location independent job.

 Responsibilities

• Utilise AWS services to build scalable and reliable solutions
• Implement DevOps practices to streamline the development, deployment, and operation processes
• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Java applications and services
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement RESTful APIs
• Optimise database performance and design efficient database schemas using PostgreSQL
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices

 Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience with AWS
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles and experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins)
• Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, ECS, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation, and RDS
• Experience with Java and Python
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs
• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL and database optimization techniques
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
