Cloud Infrastructure Architect

Your new company

A global Oil & Gas organisation headquartered in Adelaide requires a Cloud Infrastructure Architect for a permanent opportunity commencing ASAP. The company promotes a collaborative and supportive work environment, offering exposure to leading technologies and enabling a 9-day fortnight.

Your new role

In this exciting new role, you will be:

• Strong experience with IT Infrastructure & Cloud (AWS and/or Azure) architecture, design, development and deployment.
• Designing and Architecting solutions for Cloud Migrations, Virtualisation, Networking, Servers, Storage and Backus.
• Implementing Cloud optimisation and cost reduction strategies, where possible.
• Preparing High and/or Detailed Level Infrastructure Designs, SoWs, Solution Planning, Pricing & Effort Estimation, Bill of Materials, Business Case Justifications, Client Presentations, Business Models, etc.
• Ensuring Quality Assurance is performed and conducting QA reviews on deliverables.
• Working with security, network and applications teams to improve, secure and operate the landing zones.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in your application, you will need:

• Strong experience with IT Infrastructure & Cloud (AWS and/or Azure) architecture, design, development and deployment.
• Experience using modern, enterprise applications and services in a large-scale environment.
• Broad knowledge of Cloud and current leading Infrastructure technologies.
• Proven experience with Infrastructure / Application cloud migrations.
• A tertiary education in Information Technology as well as AWS, Azure, TOGAF, Agile, Lean Six Sigma and ITIL certifications are highly beneficial.
• Prior experience working within the Energy, Oil & Gas or Mining sectors is advantageous.
