NetApp have made a 'big bet' on providing data management solutions through public cloud providers. Our growing public cloud services team is looking to bring in a talented technical individual who is motivated to make a difference to our company's success with public cloud providers, with a particular focus on AWS in this case.
This next hire will be based in Australia, on the East coast ideally, but other locations would be considered and operate in a pre-sales capacity, working to identify candidate workloads, architect appropriate solutions, design and run proof-of-concepts and onboard customers into active consumption. Much of the customer engagement will be done hand-in-hand with AWS, where we are providing the technical expertise on our cloud services (both storage and software) offered by AWS natively and also NetApp services running in AWS. There is also an evangelism side of the role; we need someone keen to spread the word about how our technology enables innovation in AWS within AWS themselves, within NetApp and within the potential customer base,. The role will collaborate with colleagues across the world with a focus across the ANZ region.

Job Requirements
Sales:
- Qualifying customer technical and services needs, and the fit of the solutions NetApp Managed Services offers
- Designing solution may include NetApp Professional and Managed Services along with one or more of software, and cloud subscriptions; running technical workshops to demonstrate those solutions
- Designing and running proof-of-concepts to illustrate the fit of solutions within the customer's environment
- Presenting to customers and partners
- Enabling the Cloud and Managed Services architect community on the value NetApp solutions bring to their customers
- Proactively working with the sales, PS and solution engineering community to demonstrate the Managed Services capability in the Cloud by delivering demos or presentations
- Publishing reference architectures, significant wins, etc, internally and / or externally
- Identify joint opportunities with NetApp partners to address the customer use-case.
- Staying abreast of the latest developments in public cloud services
- Staying abreast of the latest developments in the Managed Services in the industry
- Acquiring / maintaining technical expertise
- Developing or enhancing processes and techniques employed by our Managed Services solutions and portfolio team
- Developing solutions with the services portfolio team for the customers
- Leading the ideation initiative to continuously improve the outcome-based Managed Services portfolio
- Continuously study NetApp Cloud portfolio (including new acquisitions) and identify the opportunities for Managed Services to help deliver a positive experience to the customers
- Ensuring the NetApp Cloud products get leveraged to the full extent
- Working with the SDMs and the delivery team to ensure a high quality of the service
- Build customer success metrics for NetApp MS customers in the Cloud
- Deploy services best practices (SLA management, customer success metrics, renewals, CSAT etc.) for the customers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-driven & independently motivated, you will not be closely supervised, so we need someone who will go out 'get stuff done', without being prompted
- Ability to prioritise and address multiple projects concurrently
- Appetite to learn and try new things
- Experience running proof-of-concepts for software, hardware and cloud solutions
- Strong technical knowledge of cloud concepts (AWS, GCP or Azure certification beneficial, but not necessary)
- Familiarity with container orchestration and container runtime concepts and solutions
- On-premises infrastructure and workload experience are a plus
- A willingness to travel within APAC to customer locations, and occasionally further afield
- Excellent English language skills (other languages are a definite plus)
- University degree in a technical field (or equivalent experience) plus five plus years of experience
