Full time permanent - Financial Services company - Azure Security Engineer Your new company
This Financial Services company is looking for a Cloud Security Engineer to join their cyber security team in a full-time permanent position. You will have the opportunity of working at an established financial services company located in Sydney.
Your new role
As a Cloud Security Engineer, you'll have relevant experience in Cloud Security, especially in Azure. The role will be responsible for working with the Cloud Engineering team and liaising with stakeholders across the technology and business and implementing security controls across the cloud environments in a timely manner. The role will be enforcing the security best practices in Azure Cloud environment, including but not limited to the Azure policy and deployment, Azure Kubernetes Services, App Service Environments, IaaS and PaaS, ensuring the continuous improvement of the Cloud Security posture.
What you'll need to succeed
As a Cloud (Azure) Security Engineer, you will be required to possess the following skills and experience:At least 2+ years of demonstrated experience in Azure Cloud and associated technologies including but not limited Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Policies and Compliance frameworks, Front Door, WAF, Firewalls, Azure Active Directory.
Relevant industry certifications such as AZ-500
Experience in writing and deploying Infrastructure as Code (IaC), preferably experience in Terraform.
Knowledge and experience in web application security including the ability to interpret associated security risks and vulnerabilities, such as OWASP Top10
Knowledge of Windows/Linux, web technologies (focusing on Internet security) and Cloud Security practices
Knowledge of regulatory and industry standards and frameworks, APRA CPS234, ASD8, CIS 20, NIST CSF and MITRE Attack.
Excellent communication skills and experience in stakeholder management.
