Requirements
The Purpose:
We are seeking a skilled AWS Cloud Security Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Cloud Security architecture and a deep understanding of Amazon Web Services (AWS) technologies. The AWS Cloud Security Engineer will design, implement, and maintain security solutions to protect our cloud infrastructure and applications.
Primary Accountabilities, Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and implement security controls and best practices for AWS cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of DevOps with a focus on security.
- Conduct security assessments and risk analysis of AWS infrastructure and applications.
- Configure and manage AWS security services, such as IAM, AWS Config, AWS CloudTrail, and AWS Security Hub.
- Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures for AWS environments.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents and alerts in AWS environments.
- Participate in security audits and compliance assessments for AWS environments.
- Contribute to continuously improving security processes and controls in AWS environments.
- Threat Detection and Response: Respond to and mitigate security incidents, conducting thorough investigations and root cause analyses.
- Vulnerability Management: Ensure compliance with relevant legal, regulatory, and industry standards (e.g., PCI-DSS).
- Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate identified risks.
We'd love to hear from you if have:
- Proven experience as a Cloud Security Engineer or similar role, with a focus on AWS.
- Strong understanding of AWS services and architecture, including VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and others.
- Experience with security tools and technologies for AWS, such as AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), AWS Config, AWS CloudTrail, AWS WAF, and AWS GuardDuty.
- Familiarity with industry security standards and frameworks like NIST, CIS, and CSA.
- Hands-on experience with scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, or similar languages.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Security - Specialty, CISSP, or CCSP are a plus.
