SalaryThe Jobs Victoria New Energy Program is a Priority Workforce Project funded to secure jobs for people who need extra support to find jobs in this growing sector. These are highly flexible and tailored jobs, and we are committed to support the varied needs of all individuals.
To participate in the Jobs Victoria New Energy Project, you must be long term unemployed, or underemployed and identify with one or more of the following communities:
- People from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds who face additional barriers to employment.
- Women aged 18 years and older
- Young people under 25 years.
- Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.
- People living with disability.
- People seeking asylum and refugees.
- Multi-cultural communities, including newly arrived migrants from non-English speaking backgrounds.
- Single parents.
Full time role for Cloud Software Engineer. – Industrial Microgrid systems
A university degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related subject; Alternatively, long-standing professional experience in software engineering
Relevant design experience or theoretical knowledge in the following areas:
- Industrial, utility (or other infrastructure) systems monitoring or control
- An understanding of engineering fundamentals of energy, utility or industrial systems
- Designing, developing, and executing industrial User Interfaces and Experiences (UI/UX)
- Software frameworks: Both
- .NET with C# for Windows Forms GUI developments; Blazor would be a plus.
- Javascript frameworks (React.JS, Node.JS or Angular.JS) for Web-GUI development
- Cloud front-end development, ideally with Amazon Web Service
- Databases
- Cloud-based architectures and applications
- Agile Software development and DevOps (using Github and JIRA)
- Fundamentals of utility SCADA
